Pillars4Life
Clinical social worker Jane Freudenberger will facilitate a 10-session virtual training program called Pillars4Life: Thriving in the Face of Cancer. Patients, caregivers and survivors will come together via telephone or internet video conference to be guided through a 10-week coping skills training course.

Each session will last one hour and fifteen minutes and is a highly structured, solution-focused program that teaches individuals concrete tools for living fully in the presence of illness and to empower them to become proactive in navigating the cancer journey. Sessions are limited to 12 participants for the entire course, which will be repeated four times during the year. Funding for the program and participant materials was made possible by the LIVESTRONG Foundation. Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital is one of 21 cancer centers nationwide that received funding.

Contact Jane Freudenberger at 985-276-6832 for more information.
