Dr. Adkins is an otolaryngologist in Baton Rouge, LA at Our Lady of the Lake Voice Center. After graduating from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, she then went on to complete her surgical residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Adkins completed her fellowship training at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital’s Center for Laryngeal Surgery and Voice Rehabilitation. She went into medicine with the ultimate goal of specializing in voice/laryngeal surgery because of the integral role the larynx plays in how a person interacts with their environment, playing a role in speaking, breathing and swallowing. She finds it very rewarding to help improve this aspect of her patient’s lives.
Dr. Adkins is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. She sub-specializes in Laryngology, concentrating specifically on voice, airway and swallowing disorders including endoscopic treatment of laryngeal cancer. Dr. Adkins is a member of the head & neck multidisciplinary care team (MDC) in Baton Rouge.
