Aleksandra Sowder, M.D.

  

Dr. Aleksandra Sowder is a pathologist in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center and a member of Pathology Group of Louisiana. She earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as her cytopathology fellowship at the University of Utah and ARUP Laboratories. Subsequently, she served as a clinical instructor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in genitourinary and soft tissue pathology as well as cytopathology. Dr. Sowder has published thirteen articles and abstracts in the field of pathology. She holds memberships in the College of American Pathologists, the United States and Canada Academy of Pathology, and the American Society of Cytopathology. Dr. Sowder is a member of the skin and soft tissue multidisciplinary care team at Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center.
