Dr. Nick LeBlanc is a thoracic surgeon in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology before going on to complete medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. LeBlanc has completed a general surgery residency at the Virginia – Tech Carilion Clinic, where he also gained experience in emergency general surgery and trauma surgery. In addition, he completed a thoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Manitoba Health Sciences Centre in Canada. Dr. LeBlanc currently serves on the hepatobiliary/ upper GI and lung multidisciplinary care teams (MDC) at Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center.
Dr. LeBlanc has medical and surgical licenses in numerous states, including Virginia, Wisconsin, the Providence of Manitoba and Louisiana. He is certified in fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery, as well as board certified by the American College of Surgeons. He specializes in general, trauma and thoracic surgery.
