Fakier Open Benefitting MBPCC at TGMC Cancer Center Announces New Raffle

Win a Rolex Submariner and trip for two to New York City

 

(Houma, La.) – The 4th Annual Fakier Open benefitting Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC takes place April 22-26 at the Ellendale Country Club. The event features a professional golf tournament with the Adams Pro Tour, a Pro-Am on April 22 with three amateur golfers and a pro, and a free junior clinic for kids ages 6-16 on Friday, April 25.

Those who participate in the Fakier Open will be invited to attend the Taste of the Tournament Par-Tee and Auction, the tournament’s signature party, on Friday, April 25 at Ellendale. The event will feature some of the area’s most delicious local cuisine, music and a large silent auction selection.

This year’s tournament will feature a raffle for a stainless steel GTS 40MM Rolex Men’s/Women’s Submariner with oyster bracelet (valued at $7,500) and a two-night stay for two – with airfare – at a luxurious hotel in New York City (valued at $2,500). Tickets are $100 each and are available at marybird.org/fakier or at the main TGMC gift shop. Drawing for the winning ticket will take place at the Taste of the Tournament. Winner need not be present to win.

Proceeds from the tournament benefit Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC to help provide free cancer screenings and educational programs throughout the Bayou Region for breast, prostate, skin, oral and colorectal cancers. In 2013, the Center screened more than 1,200 people at 54 screening events.
