This year, more than 26,000 people in Louisiana will hear the words “you have cancer.” You can make a direct impact on a patient in our community. One hundred percent of every gift to the Cancer Center stays local to help improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer.
Tonja McMillian is one of the many patients who have benefited from the generosity of our community. When Tonja was 37 years old, she made the decision to attend a free breast cancer screening – it was a decision that changed her life forever. Within a week, she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and quickly began receiving treatment. Tonja, a mother and business-owner, is now living cancer free. Thanks to community support, the Cancer Center can provide thousands of cancer screenings each year – at no cost to participants.
With your support, this Giving Tuesday we can continue to enhance the Cancer Center’s critical mission-support initiatives such as prevention, research, innovation, teamwork and patient assistance.
But we can’t do it without the support of our community. Join together and give a gift that makes an impact.
