Essen Lane Closure Not to Impact Patient Travel During Regular Hours

Essen Lane will be closed at the railroad crossing south of I-10 starting Friday, July 18 at 9 p.m. until Monday, July 21 at 5 a.m.

Due to railroad construction, Louisiana DOTD has announced that Essen Lane will be closed at the railroad crossing south of I-10 starting Friday, July 18 at 9 p.m. until Monday, July 21 at 5 a.m. This means that patients visiting Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center during regular hours this week will not be impacted. During the construction period,  no cars will be able to drive all the way down Essen Lane. Drivers coming from Interstate 10 to Our Lady of the Lake will not be affected. The closure will only impact drivers coming from Perkins Road toward the hospital. Dijon will remain open.
