Fontenot Joins Red Journal as Associate Editor
(Baton Rouge, La.) Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center Academic Medical Physicist Jonas D. Fontenot, Ph.D., has been named to the editorial board of the American Society of Radiation Oncology’s “Red Journal” (The International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics) as associate editor in physics. “This is the most prestigious journal for Radiation Oncologists in the United States,” said John Gibbons, Ph.D., Chief of Clinical Physics, Mary Bird Perkins. “It is a great honor for Dr. Fontenot and for the Center.”
Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is a regional cancer care organization that has been fighting cancer for over 40 years. With five centers in Baton Rouge, Covington, Hammond, Houma and Gonzales, its service area encompasses 18 parishes across southeast Louisiana.
