Community

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center was created by the community, for the community. Since its beginning, generous, local supporters have been key to the Center’s growth and advancement, driven by their desire to ensure the highest quality, most comprehensive cancer care is always available to communities throughout southeast Louisiana, southwest Mississippi and beyond. We are passionate about ending this disease, and we hope you will join our efforts so that one day no one will hear the words, “You have cancer.”

Donate

Mary Bird Perkins is solely dedicated to providing resources for all patients and their families. From expert treatment, advanced technology and survivorship to breakthrough clinical trials and translational research, philanthropy is a life-saving gift. 100% of funds donated goes to your community.

Events

Each year we are amazed at the organizations and individuals who come together in displays of generosity and joyous compassion to join the fight against cancer – from attending and sponsoring events to hosting their own event. Every dollar raised directly supports our patients and advances quality of care.

Geaux Pink

Geaux Pink is a signature fundraising program that encourages individuals, schools, businesses and sports teams to join in the fight against cancer during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer death in women in the U.S. and you can help cancer patients with this fight!

Volunteer

For Our Events

Play an active role in planning and executing one of our signature events or be a day-of volunteer. All talents, interests and time availabilities are welcome to serve on a fundraising committee for one of our signature events or host your own event to raise awareness and funds to support the fight against cancer.

At the Cancer Center

Join us as a volunteer and assist with guest services, clerical support or provide that caring and compassionate “personal touch” for our patients. The services volunteers provide are an important part of what makes the patient experience so unique and meaningful at all of our cancer center locations.
