Mary Bird Perkins at Baton Rouge General

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center allows for additional access, physician collaboration and advanced technology for cancer patients in the Greater Baton Rouge area by partnering with Baton Rouge General’s Pennington Cancer Center on Baton Rouge General’s Bluebonnet campus.

This unique partnership enables Baton Rouge General, a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center to work together to make it easier for patients to receive the highest quality cancer care close to home.

Depending on a patient’s needs and preferences, they can receive care from either organization, or both, as some medical oncologists rotate between facilities. Linked electronic medical record systems streamline treatments and communication in a seamless, comprehensive and compassionate way.
