Mary Bird Provider

Dr. Adithya Hari serves as a physician and nuclear oncologist at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and holds a faculty appointment as assistant professor in clinical science at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. In his dual role, Dr. Hari leads a nuclear medicine-focused research program at Pennington Biomedical while also providing direct patient care at Mary Bird Perkins.

His work is a cornerstone of Louisiana’s expanding Cancer Metabolism Program, a collaborative initiative involving Pennington Biomedical, Mary Bird Perkins, LSU Health New Orleans and the LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center. Dr. Hari’s expertise plays a vital role in advancing the Cancer Center’s theranostics program, further solidifying its position as a statewide leader in targeted radioisotope therapies.

Dr. Hari earned his medical degree from Kurnool Medical College in India, completed a PhD in clinical and translational science at Case Western Reserve University, and pursued a nuclear oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
