Richa Dhawan, M.D.

Dr. Richa Dhawan is a rheumatologist at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. She earned her MBBS from NSCB Government Medical College in Jabalpur, India, before completing her residency in internal medicine at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following this, she pursued a fellowship in rheumatology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, refining her expertise in diagnosing and treating rheumatic diseases.
A member of esteemed organizations such as the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology, Dr. Dhawan is committed to advancing patient care. In 2014, her contributions were recognized with LSUHSC, Shreveport Facility accreditation for Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry provision, demonstrating her dedication to medical innovation and clinical excellence.
