Cancer Center Schedules Free Breast, Skin Cancer Screenings
Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital will hold free breast and skin cancer screenings in January and February at the following times:
Breast cancer screenings from 9-11 a.m. and 12-2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Main’s Market, 82205 Louisiana Hwy. 25, Folsom.
Breast cancer screenings from 9-11 a.m. and from 12-2 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Covington Food Bank, 840 N. Columbia St., Covington.
Skin cancer screenings from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Covington Food Bank, 840 N. Columbia St., Covington.
Breast cancer screenings from 9-11 a.m. and 12-2 p.m. Feb. 20 at Louisiana Heart Hospital, 64030 Hwy. 434, Lacombe.
Appointments are required and can be made by calling (888) 616-4687. Screenings are free if you have not been screened within the past 12 months. Your insurance will be billed for mammograms. There will be no charge for patients without insurance. The free screenings are made possible by donor gifts.
