Diagnostic imaging is often the first step in a cancer diagnosis. A variety of machines, including x-rays, CT scans and MRI scans, can be used to create pictures of the structures inside the body to rule out or diagnose a certain medical condition. Most imaging tests are painless and easy, but certain involve small amounts of radiation.
Imaging Technology We Offer
The advanced scanning technologies and software capabilities of this new 3D imaging system produce high-quality images with both speed and accuracy, providing precise data needed for disease detection and treatment planning. The Discovery PET/CT STE Series is designed to deliver fast and detailed scans at a low dose, minimizing both the radiation and the injected doses associated with its use.
This high-definition MRI system delivers more definitive diagnostic exams and is enhanced with anatomy-specific components that take accuracy and certainty to a new level. American College of Radiology accredited.
This scanner is the latest innovation in CT technology. It has the ability to deliver wide anatomical coverage and high resolution, simultaneously, allowing clinicians to capture whole organs in seconds. American College of Radiology accredited.

Dr. Rupley has over 35 years of experience and is a pioneer in personalized breast cancer screening, combining mammography with ultrasound or MRI for high-risk patients or those with complex conditions. This tailored approach ensures optimal early detection, particularly for those with dense breast tissue or a family history of breast cancer.Â
Offering comprehensive and detailed views of the breast. Our 3D technology helps diagnose breast cancers quicker and with more accuracy, reducing the rate of false positives.
A special breast MRI is a detailed imaging test that uses powerful magnets and radio waves to create high-resolution pictures of the inside of the breast. It’s often used to further evaluate abnormalities found on a mammogram or ultrasound, or for screening women at high risk of breast cancer. This non-invasive procedure provides a comprehensive view of breast tissue, helping doctors detect and diagnose issues with great accuracy. It’s a valuable tool for ensuring thorough breast health assessments and guiding treatment plans.
A stereotactic breast biopsy is a precise, minimally invasive procedure used to take a small sample of breast tissue for examination. Guided by mammogram images, a radiologist uses a special needle to target and remove tissue from a suspicious area. This procedure helps doctors diagnose breast abnormalities, such as lumps or unusual changes, ensuring accurate results without the need for surgery. It’s a safe and effective way to get important information about breast health.
When a breast radiologist specialist meets with a patient after finding an abnormality, they will explain the results of the imaging tests and what the findings mean. The radiologist will discuss the nature of the abnormality, answer any questions, and outline the next steps, which may include additional imaging tests or a biopsy. This meeting helps ensure the patient understands their condition and feels supported in making informed decisions about their health care.
An onsite breast patient navigator is a dedicated professional who guides and supports patients through their breast healthcare journey. They help coordinate appointments, explain medical information, and connect patients with resources and support services. Their goal is to make the process smoother and less stressful, ensuring patients receive the care and assistance they need at every step.
