COVINGTON, La. – The annual Pirate Party, held late last year at the Columbia Street Tap Room, raised $29,000 to support Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center’s patient assistance programs and remove barriers to care for patients across Covington and the Northshore. Hosted by Jack E. Saux, III, M.D., medical oncologist, Northshore Oncology Associates, this yearly event raises awareness of local nonprofit organizations that support those impacted by cancer while celebrating great costuming, great fun, and great causes.
Saux officially presented the donation to the Mary Bird Perkins team on February 8th.
