Louisiana is known for laissez les bons temps rouler, and L’Auberge Casino & Hotel in Baton Rouge is no stranger to the state’s love for letting the good times roll. From playing games and winning money to fine dining and fun concerts, L’Auberge offers experiences of all kinds to entertain and relax.
But L’Auberge doesn’t just want people to have fun. With care as an organizational core value, they help others live their best lives.
A longtime supporter of Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center, L’Auberge has been the presenting sponsor of the Cancer Center’s annual fundraising event for several years. In 2018, the organization was instrumental in bringing to life the Cancer Center’s inaugural joint fundraiser with Cancer Services: The Gala Goes Gatsby—which went on to be named one of the year’s top events by The Advocate’s Pam Bordelon!
“L’Auberge has been an invaluable partner for the Cancer Center,” said Ethan Bush, vice president and chief development officer for the Cancer Center. “Their willingness to take events to the next level helps us gain the kind of support needed to help those affected by cancer.”
In addition to supporting the community, L’Auberge also emphasizes cancer awareness and detection for their staff. Last summer, they partnered with the Cancer Center to bring skin screenings to their employees through the Prevention on the Go program. The opportunity was well received by their team, with 80% of participants being screened for the first time.
L’Auberge’s commitment to improving the quality of life for their teams and communities escalates good times to better health and wellness. To stay up-to-date with all of the Cancer Center’s events, sign up for our newsletter below.
