Living Well in Southeast Louisiana

1

The Details

Live Well Bayou will take place on Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Courthouse Square in the heart of Houma. Don’t forget to mark your calendars and clear your schedule!

2

The Screenings

Thanks to event sponsor Cenac Marine Services, guests have the opportunity to be screened for breast, colorectal, oral, prostate and skin cancers in addition to blood pressure and glucose checks. Cancer screenings will be offered for the duration of the event for free. No insurance is required.

3

The Warm Up

Root2Rise will be offering an uplifting yoga warmup for all attendees. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say we’re excited about this part of the event.

4

Tasty Food

It isn’t a Louisiana event without food! Local eateries will be offering tastings of their favorite dishes, so plan to come hungry.

5

Lots of Children’s Activities

Bayou Country Children’s Museum will be leading activities for the kids who are attending the event.

Live Wells across Southeast Louisiana

If you don’t live in the Bayou Region but are interested in attending a community health event, there are more opportunities to participate! Live Well Northshore and Live Well Ascension will also be taking place throughout the fall. These events will include the same cancer and health screenings offered at Live Well Bayou along with fun activities for the whole family!

Live Well Northshore, hosted by Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Covington, and presented by the Blanchard Foundation, will take place on Sept. 28 at Covington Trailhead.

Live Well Ascension, hosted by Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Gonzales, in conjunction with the Gonzales Area Foundation, will be held on Nov. 2 at Jambalaya Park.
