Since opening its doors three years ago, the Breast & GYN Cancer Pavilion has continually provided women diagnosed with breast or gynecologic cancer with a multitude of resources for enhanced care. Through a partnership between Woman’s Hospital and Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center, the Pavilion blends the recognized expertise of each organization in caring for women with cancer to deliver the most advanced, coordinated care for patients throughout the region.
This one-of-a-kind facility, just for women, is made possible through collaborative teams of medical and radiation oncologists, breast surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, geneticists, research staff, nurse navigators, nutritionists and social workers.
In its short three year history, the Pavilion has already made a significant impact in the lives of women.
Woman’s Hospital recently was recognized as one of Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2021, one of only 16 specialty hospitals in the United States to earn this distinction. The recognition is for the specialized oncology care provided at the Pavilion by Woman’s Hospital and Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center.
