Lymphedema Clinic in Covington, LA

The Lymphedema Clinic is designed for cancer survivors who have had lymph node removal and who have not been diagnosed with lymphedema as well as those diagnosed with lymphedema. During the one-on-one 45 minute clinic appointments, certified lymphedema therapists will discuss physical signs of lymphedema and explain prevention measures.  As part of the clinical exam, an assessment will be made based on measurements of the arms, observation of the skin, and through simple range of motion exercises.  There is no charge for the one-on-one clinic consultation and a physician referral is not necessary, but an appointment is needed.  If symptoms are detected and treatment is recommended, the participant will be referred to his or her physician.
