Ghenet Ghebretatios is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Baton Rouge. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) with over four decades of experience in hematology, oncology, and multiple other areas of nursing. Ghenet earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University and her Master of Science and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Southern University.
She has been an active member of the Baton Rouge Oncology Nursing Society for many years and organized and participated in many community events related to cancer care and prevention. Ghenet has served as a Chapter president, program chair and nominating chair for the organization. Ghenet was also part of the original team that helped launch what is now Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center’s Outreach program.
In her free time, Ghenet likes to read, cook and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
