Cyndi Miller, ACHPN, NP

Cyndi R. Miller, a native of Kentwood, Louisiana, obtained her Bachelor of Science in nursing from The University of Alabama, Capstone College of Nursing, in 1997 and her Master’s in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2012.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Cyndi worked in oncology as a registered nurse for more than a decade. Throughout this time, she gained experience in inpatient and outpatient oncology, including infusion services at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. After graduation, she worked in inpatient palliative care, serving all specialties including critical care, oncology, trauma, and geriatrics. She is licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Cyndi rejoined the Cancer Center in July 2022 as a nurse practitioner, focusing on the new Supportive and Palliative Care program and specializing in symptom management and improving the overall quality of life in patients undergoing cancer treatment. She is board-certified in palliative care and hospice and a member of AAHPM, LMHPCO, CAPC, HPNA.
Cyndi has three children: Darby, 24, and twins Reed and Tess, 20. When not at work, she enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her family, and gardening. She is a member of the Wild Child Garden Club where she has been crowned The Mater Queen in 2020 and 2022. She also is a member of the Echo Alliance, a collaborative group of women dedicated to making a difference for those affected by cancer.
