Dr. Joseph Pineda is a gynecologist at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University and pursued further studies in microbiology at Northwestern State University. Dr. Pineda then completed his medical education through a special joint program between the University of New York School of Medicine and the University of Monterrey School of Medicine in Mexico, culminating in his Doctorate degree. With clerkship experience at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and an internship at Tulane Medical School, Dr. Pineda honed his clinical skills. He completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Tulane Medical School, Charity Hospital of Louisiana, solidifying his dedication to comprehensive patient care in women’s health.
