BATON ROUGE, La. – Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is pleased to announce that Andrew T. Faucheux, MD, hematologist and oncologist, will join its Essen campus on August 24, 2026.
Dr. Andrew Faucheux is a medical oncologist and hematologist at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Faucheux completed his residency in internal medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident, and also completed his fellowship in hematology and oncology.
Faucheux has a strong background in clinical research, medical education, and physician leadership. Since 2020, his experience and work have contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and national presentations focused on immunotherapy, lung cancer, hematology, and supportive oncology care. He is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).

As a medical oncologist and hematologist, Faucheux will work closely with the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center team to provide compassionate, individualized care for each patient’s unique needs.
