Cody Milliman, M.D., Medical Oncologist, Joins Louisiana’s Largest Cancer Care Team

Board-certified physician to practice at multiple Mary Bird Perkins locations

BATON ROUGE, La. – Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center has announced that Cody L. Milliman, M.D., an American Board of Internal Medicine-certified medical oncologist, is joining its expansive cancer care team – Louisiana’s largest team focused 100 percent on cancer care.

Milliman received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and microbiology from Louisiana State University. He earned a Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Following graduation, Milliman completed an internship and residency through the Tinsley Harrison Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he also holds a Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology through the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Milliman is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American Medical Association and American College of Physicians.

Dr. Milliman will practice with Louisiana Hematology Oncology Associates. He will care for patients at the Cancer Center’s Essen Lane location and Mary Bird Perkins’ clinics on the campus of Baton Rouge General and Opelousas General Health System.
