Jodi Conachen Named Chief Operating Officer At Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center

BATON ROUGE, La. – Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center has named Jodi Conachen as chief operating officer for the organization. She previously served as vice president of marketing and communications and has been a member of the Cancer Center’s senior management team for almost four years.

Conachen is an experienced healthcare leader and has operated in an executive leadership capacity.

I have no doubt she will be successful in her new position as chief operating officer. Fontenot added that in her marketing and communications role, Conachen had taken on many operational challenges over the last few years and was successful in creating and implementing innovative solutions.

As chief operating officer, Conachen will assist with the development and implementation of the Cancer Center’s strategic plan while ensuring alignment with physicians, organizations and companies with whom the organization partners for the provision of quality healthcare services. Her ability to address immediate needs and create visionary plans for the future will serve the growth and agility of the organization, as it responds to community needs.

Conachen has a wealth of communications experience in various industries, including positions with Community Coffee Company, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Woman’s Hospital and several other local employers.

She received her Master’s in Business Administration from LSU in Shreveport and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations/Mass Communications from Louisiana State University.
