BATON ROUGE, La. – The Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC) has named Renea Duffin, vice president, cancer support and outreach at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, to its board of trustees as treasurer.
The ACCC is a community of more than 46,000 multidisciplinary professionals from 1,700 cancer programs and practices nationwide. The organization brings together healthcare professionals across all disciplines in oncology to promote quality cancer care.
The board and committee members were elected to their roles by their peers at the ACCC’s 51st annual meeting and cancer center business summit held in Washington, DC. Duffin has previously served as chair-elect of the ACCC’s membership committee.

With nearly 20 years of service at Mary Bird Perkins, Duffin has been a driving force behind numerous community outreach and support initiatives. As vice president, she oversees the strategic development and implementation of many mission-focused programs across the Cancer Center’s service areas throughout Louisiana and southwest Mississippi. Her leadership has been instrumental in expanding early detection, screening, education, research, and prevention programs, including the widely recognized Prevention on the Go mobile health program.
Duffin also leads the Cancer Center’s governmental affairs efforts, advocating for public policies that enhance access to cancer care, address disparities, and support cancer patients and their families. Her appointment to the ACCC board further reflects her national leadership in the oncology community and her commitment to ensuring every patient has access to the highest quality cancer care, no matter their circumstances.
