New Specialty Taco Introduced for MBPCC

  (Baton Rouge, La.) Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center (MBPCC) and the two-time “Best of 225” Taco de Paco food truck invite you to join the official launch of a new community partnership for the month of July. Headlined by the introduction of Taco de Paco’s new specialty taco, “The Bird is the Word,” Mary Bird Perkins and Taco de Paco will co-host the launch event Wednesday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the center’s administrative offices at Essen Crossing, 5745 Essen Lane, with proceeds benefiting Mary Bird Perkins and the local fight against cancer. “Funds raised through third-party events such as this one are making a definitive difference in the fight against cancer,” commented Danielle Mack, director of development, MBPCC. “We are truly grateful to Taco de Paco for understanding the far-reaching value of Mary Bird’s mission and choosing to support it.” Mary Bird Perkins encourages Baton Rouge residents to track down Taco de Paco throughout the remainder of July as Taco de Paco will donate $1 for every signature “The Bird is the Word” taco sold and accept donations on the center’s behalf.
