Evening of food and fun provides vital cancer services to patients.

(Covington, La.) The Greater Northshore President’s Council invites community members to the annual Benefits of Home Gala, a much-anticipated signature event benefiting Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. Presented by HUB international, the event is Thursday, Aug. 20 from 6:30 – 9 p.m. and hosted by Franco’s Health Club and Spa in Mandeville, 100 Bon Temps Roule.

The entertaining and festive evening features fabulous cuisine from the area’s premier restaurants and caterers, unlimited libations including a martini bar, musical entertainment by the John Gray Jazz Band, a live auction conducted by Mark Romig, the voice of the New Orleans Saints and a new 365 Wall of Giving, where you can purchase a day of the year in honor of a loved one.

“We invite you to join us as we take the fight forward,” said Denise Gelpi Ragan, event chair. “Your investment, whether purchasing a ticket or taking home an auction item, directly impacts our community by helping prevent more cancers and save more lives.” Assisting Ragan is event co-chair Alan Zaunbrecher.

The price of an individual ticket is $150, which will help provide transportation assistance to one patient throughout the duration of treatment.

Proceeds from admission tickets, Forks and Corks and auction sales will help many people by offering lifesaving cancer treatment services for those in need, free community education and cancer screenings for medically underserved populations, access to groundbreaking clinical trials for cancer patients on the Northshore and much more.
