Cancer Center Raffle Offers Unique Mardi Gras Experience

How would you like to roll with the Krewe of Orpheus this Carnival Season?

The Benefits of Home Gala, benefitting Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, is selling tickets for its raffle – a ride for two in the Orpheus Parade Feb. 16, 2015, and a two-night stay in downtown New Orleans. And there’s more!

In addition to riding with the Mystic Krewe of Orpheus, your last stop will be the Morial Convention Center. As your float completes the route with a lap around the Convention Center, you will be dropped off to enjoy the Orpheuscapade Ball. Tickets are $100 each. All raffle prize components are generously sponsored by See-Hear Productions, LLC.

The drawing for this unique prize will take place at the Benefits of Home Gala Aug. 21, 2014, at Franco’s Health Club and Spa in Mandeville. The Greater Northshore President’s Council cordially invites community members to attend. Winner need not be present

“Benefits of Home is the largest fundraising event for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital,” said Leslie Landry, development director for the Cancer Center. “We encourage people to come out and enjoy an unforgettable evening for a great cause.”

Proceeds from admission tickets, auction and raffle sales will help provide vital treatment services for those who otherwise could not afford them. Examples of this include free community education and cancer screenings, and transportation services for patients who need help getting to their treatments.

Tickets for Benefits of Home include delicious offerings from local chefs, unlimited libations, live music by John Gray Jazz Band, and both a silent and live auction.
