Many Cancer Survivors Attend Annual Celebration

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital hosted a picnic June 6 for cancer survivors, their family members, caregivers, supporters and healthcare professionals.

  In observance of National Cancer Survivors Day, June 1, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital hosted a picnic June 6 for cancer survivors, their family members, caregivers, supporters and healthcare professionals. Over 300 people gathered to celebrate the many patients who have battled, or are currently battling, the disease. Guests enjoyed lunch provided by Mugshots Grill & Bar. Also available were snowballs, face painting and a bounce house to add to the festivities.
