October is Geaux Pink Month at Don’s Seafood
Don’s Seafood joins the fight against cancer
(Covington, La.)
On Sundays throughout October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Don’s Seafood of Covington will donate 10 percent of all sales to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital as part of the Center’s Geaux Pink program. One hundred percent of funds generated through Geaux Pink go directly back into the local community to support cancer awareness, early detection and screening programs. “Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital meets such a critical need for so many families affected by cancer,” stated James Hebert and Jacob Allen, business partners, Don’s Seafood of Covington. “We are proud to partner with an organization whose mission is so important to our local community.” “Funds raised through Geaux Pink events like this one are clearly making a difference in the fight against cancer on the local level,” said Leslie Landry, director of development, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. “We are sincerely grateful to Don’s Seafood for understanding the far-reaching value of the Center’s mission and choosing to support it.” If your business or organization is interested in partnering with the Cancer Center on a similar project contact Leslie Landry at (985) 276-6845. While Geaux Pink month officially kicks off in October, ‘pink’ events and promotions are held throughout the year. Don’s Seafood Restaurant is located at 126 Lake Drive in Covington, LA.
