New Director Named in Gonzales
Michelle Hyatt joins the Cancer Center team
Michelle Hyatt has been named Director of Radiation Therapy for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in conjunction with St. Elizabeth Hospital. She has been a radiation therapist in Houma for the past 12 years, most recently at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC. Hyatt received a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Technology from the University of Louisiana in Monroe, followed by an additional year of training in Radiation Therapy at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is currently participating in Leadership Ascension and is a member of the Rotary Club of East Ascension. A native of Thibodaux, La., Hyatt has twin 5-year-old boys and a 2-year-old daughter. She and her husband Rodney, a Lieutenant with the Louisiana State Police, recently moved to Prairieville.
Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is a regional cancer care organization that has been fighting cancer for more than 40 years.
