(Houma) – Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC is proud to announce that Fakiér Jewelers will now be the title sponsor for the upcoming Mary Bird Perkins at TGMC Fakiér Open.
The golf tournament will take place at Ellendale Country Club in Houma April 2 – 7 and will feature the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series.
“Having a partner like Fakiér is important for this type of event,” said Randy Haddad, director of development for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. “The tournament is about raising awareness and funds for our mission – to improve survivorship and lessen a burden of cancer. Fakiér believes in this mission and together we plan to make a difference in the Bayou Region.”
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC.
“Along with most people in the world, we also have lost loved ones to cancer,” said Greg Fakiér of Fakiér Jewelers. “Our commitment to helping this cause is stronger than ever.”
The Taste of the Tournament Par-Tee and Auction will kick off the week’s festivities on Monday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature some of the area’s most delicious local cuisine, music and a silent auction.
The Pro-Am takes place Tuesday, April 3 and is in the form of a four-man shamble. Each team will be comprised of three amateur golfers and a professional golfer from the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series.
Wednesday, April 4 through Saturday, April 7 is the Mary Bird Perkins at TGMC Open professional tournament featuring Adams Golf Pro Tour Series players. A free junior clinic for kids ages 6 – 16 will be held Thursday, April 5 in association with Adams Golf Pro Tour Series professionals.
