The Foundation for TGMC and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC Participating in Give NOLA Day

GiveNOLA day is May 5

The Foundation for TGMC and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC are thrilled to be a part of the second annual GiveNOLA Day. Hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, GiveNOLA Day is the community’s 24-hour online charitable giving event to inspire people to give generously to nonprofit organizations that are making our region stronger, creating a vibrant community for all.

“GiveNOLA Day offers our community an incredible opportunity to support our Cancer Center and The Foundation for TGMC and help raise funding to further our community impact,” said Phyllis Peoples, president and CEO of TGMC. “Through donor generosity, TGMC and MBPCC at TGMC will continue to make our community healthier and funds raised through efforts such as GiveNOLA help in that endeavor.”

The Foundation for TGMC will dedicate all GiveNOLA Day donations to the growth of TGMC’s Healthy Lifestyles Program. The Healthy Lifestyles Center was developed to promote overall healthy lifestyle training and health management. Partnering with the community through wellness-based programs focused on fitness, weight management, diabetes management and rehabilitation, the Healthy Lifestyles Center encompasses all aspects of leading a healthy lifestyle. Donations to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC will impact our patients who are currently undergoing cancer treatment and our community through cancer prevention, early detection, education and clinical research. We surround every patient with more advanced treatment options and more support services than any other cancer program in the Region.

The public is invited to visit www.GiveNOLA.org from midnight to midnight on Tuesday, May 5, and every gift over $10 will receive a little lagniappe thanks to GiveNOLA Day generous sponsors and the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Individuals can make online donations for The Foundation for TGMC and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC by visiting www.GiveNOLA.org on May 5, 2015.
