This application provides students preparing to enter the field of Medical Physics the opportunity to observe our staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Baton Rouge, LA. In order to design a well suited shadowing experience, tailored to your learning goals, please fill out the questions below and attach all necessary paperwork (even if you are a repeat shadowing applicant). Upon opening the dropbox link below, please navigate to the folder that is appropriate for you then download, read and sign all required documentation. Please understand that you will not be considered for observation placement until each required component of the application is complete.
If you are interested in observing our physics staff, please fill out the questions and attach the necessary paperwork using the link below. Please understand that applications are reviewed on a monthly basis and are scheduled for the following month. Shadowing opportunities are limited to staff availability. Due to recurring obligations, shadowing is not available during the months of January, February, June or October. The deadline for signing up is at 5 pm on the last business Friday of the month before shadowing is set to take place. You can expect a response to this application within the first week of the month of intended shadowing, but understand that not all applicants are guaranteed an observational opportunity.
