| What’s the purpose of the Untie the Ribbons event?

Untie the Ribbons is a free community event to educate, enlighten and empower the community on the impact of clinical research on health outcomes in an effort to reduce mortality in African Americans.

| Who’s the target audience?

Men and women 35 and above, specifically African Americans are encouraged to attend and learn more about the importance of representation in clinical research. Survivors are also asked to attend to share their personal experiences with cancer.

| What’s expected to happen?

Participants will be educated on cancer research and the importance of diverse representation in clinical trials. This will be done through presentations from medical experts and survivors. Other health vendors will be onsite to provide additional health information

| What else will be offered?

Light breakfast and refreshments will be served. Door prizes will be given out throughout the day. To-go lunch will be served at the conclusion of the event.
