Blake T. Blancher, M.D.
- Medical Oncology
Dr. Blake Blancher is a medical oncologist at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Covington. He earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology from Louisiana State University and a graduate degree in biology with a focus on medical sciences at Mississippi College. Dr. Blancher then completed his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, where he distinguished himself by being named intern of the year in 2019 and serving as chief resident from July 2020 to June 2021. He completed his fellowship in hematology and clinical oncology with Baylor Scott & White in Temple, TX.
Outside of his work at the Cancer Center, Dr. Blancher enjoys cooking, fishing and spending quality time with his family. As a passionate baseball fan, he hopes to one day visit every Major League Baseball park and enjoy a hot dog at each one.
